'HUNGER FOR MOTHERGOD"

Rasa, That
was an incredible and wonderful post. As always, you capture the essence
of what is true in the "real" world of our day-to-day lives
and then expose that of which this reality is a manifestation. The truth
is that Matriarchy is inexorable and inevitable. We see the changes occuring
as we speak and this "cult" of women of beauty and power is
indicative of it all. Men hunger for MotherGod and the power of Woman
and they find that, now, their only outlet is to create shrines to these
women of power and beauty. Through this, however, we will see the growth
of Matriarchy, and, strangely, this growth will be spurred by men. Now
it is only for our sisters to catch up with the

In the male pursuit of women which is manifested in images of women, Femdom, fetishes etc there is a strong sexual aspect. Sex is what we share with all living creatures and is the most powerful catalyst for the survival of the species.
However when we speak of terms like beauty and ugliness we are speaking of something quite different. Here we are seeking to give name to a something imagined. Different socities will define beauty is quite different ways but they are all striving to realise an ideal which they don´t necessary understand. By ideal I mean a form of perfection which we feel must be behind objects. It is entirely logical that this ideal of the feminine be the MotherGod. The expressions of this pursuit of the ideal can be numerous and various e.g fetish, Femdom, images etc since they are human responses in the seeking this ideal.
So they are a sexual response but on a higher, more important level they are signs of the quest for the ideal which is MotherGod. In one message there was mention of MotherGod and the Devil. I must say that not coming from a religious background I see no logical necessity for a Devil as counter pole to a MotherGod. This is not Newton´s Third Law. Does a creator need an anti-creator? I don´t see why. Is there an anti-Stradivarius who goes around smashing violins? This is perhaps a little too flippant but may not the Devil be created simply to explain the darker side of our human natures, which we have to overcome and that we are a lot closer to salvation than we think i.e. simply realising the presence of MotherGod.
Any way just a few thoughts.
As
an aside the 51st Biennale di Venezia was directed and curated by two
women for the first time in 100 years and the french pavilion was a one
woman exhibition. The suposed feminist "flair" was perhaps why
it was rubbished by Rocco Buttiglione the Italian Minister of Culture
and close confidant of the last Pope.
